  Per , Loftus-Cheek suffered a bout of acute appendicitis before Milan's clash with Napoli and was rushed to hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery. In his absence, Milan lost 2-1.

  The ex-Chelsea midfielder has struggled somewhat for playing time this season and has been limited to just 14 Serie A appearances due to injury issues. He missed 12 games with muscular injuries, before making his return last week against Como. Now, he faces another month out.
